Bits and Pieces

Here are some other fall highlights and a lowlight...

We'll start with the bad...I crashed my little VW. Anna and I were on our way to Denton for a football game and the car in front of me stopped. I didn't. Fortunately we were both fine, I was going less than ten miles and hour, but my car was messed up, I couldn't drive it away. One month later I got my car back good as new.

We bought a Durango. see above. We decided to do that instead of a rental car, and now we're going to sell the Jeep (don't tell Jason, but YAY!)

We both are looking GOOD! I joined Weight Watchers in June and I have to say it was the best thing I've done for myself in a long time. Jason started running and working out, and we are looking trim. Jason's lost 20 lbs. and I've lost 43. I have about 15 pounds more to go and I'll be 10 pounds heavier than I was in high school. I'll take it! We went to a fancy event and here we are...

We started what we hope will be an annual tradition and participated in the Fort Worth Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. It was very fun. Cold, but fun. Anna and I walked a 5K (she got lazy and made me push her the whole time...wimp) and Jason ran a 10K. Here we are after, still breathing and with all of our fingers and toes.

Our last adventure was this week. Anna stole my wedding ring. It went missing on
Thursday. With the weight loss it is way too big, so I leave it on my nightstand when I'm home. Friday morning it was nowhere in sight, we quickly figured out that the almost two year old girl was responsible, but that meant it could be anywhere. We looked everywhere for two days (I mean everywhere, including dirty diapers). By today (Wednesday, a week later) I had given up. Then this morning, Jason looks on my nightstand, and there is my ring. There is no way it was there the whole time, sothe best we can figure is that she came across it again, and thought, "oh this goes on the nightstand" and put it back. Little nut.
