The Great Pumpkin

Boo! Halloween is here. I have always loved Halloween, but the last few years spent as a semi-adult have made for some boring ass holidays (excusez moi Francais). So this Halloween, as the mother of a child, and as a new homeowner, Halloween is going to be WICKED AWESOME. First of all, there are about a million kids in our neighborhood, so for the first time in my life I'm going to live in a house that has massive numbers of trick-or-treaters, J and I bought aboout 5 huge, Costco sized bags of candy, and we're nervous we don't have enough. Also, I have a yard to decorate, and our homeowners association sponsors a yard decorating contest. SWEET! People are into this. There is no way we are going to win, because some of our friendly neighbors have seriously gone all out, but we did make our contribution....
