Mother of the Year
So A had her first boo boo today. Under my watch. I feel terrible. It wasn't really my fault, but I should have been smarter about the things I put in front of her! First off, the good news is that she is sitting up without our help now.

For about 10 minutes or so, and then she pitches over, or in this case, forward. So here's what happened (I know, you are dying to know). She is sitting up and playing with a toy that she digs. Her Grandma Weber bought her those cool blocks that are round, or triangle or stars and go in the bucket with the lid that has holes in the same shapes.

She is not ready to figure that out yet, but sometimes she sticks stuff in the bucket (clearly the child is a genius). So I moved the bucket closer to her so she can reach it to put stuff in it. Then all the sudden she pitches forward and nails her eye socket on the edge of the bucket. Instant tears and crying...the only other time she's cried like this is when she gets shots. So I'm trying to calm her down, plus calm myself down cause I feel like a terrible mother who endangered my child. I know this is the first of many little bumps and scrapes...but geez....this is terrible.
The worst part is that we are leaving for Seattle in two days, and I won't be surprised if the kid has a shiner.

Perfect.
