Bloomin Smoky!!

My buddy Andrea gave me a cookbook for my birthday a couple of years ago. It was one of those with the secret recipes for items you can order at restaurants. J loves him those Bloomin' Onions and was so excited to give it a go.


So he made all the batter, and sliced up the onion, and it was looking pretty good....but then it started to get smoky in the house...and then it got really really smoky, and then the smoke detector went off. If we had any questions as to its functionality, we now know it works great. And that it is very loud.

So we moved A outside, to protect her lungs from the clouds of smoke that were now permeating the entire house, and to protect her ears from the LOUD ringing of the smoke detector.
As you can see, she didn't mind terribly.

Once the smoke cleared, and everyone was back in the house, J and I enjoyed the final product, which turned out quite tasty. a>
